Living Word Book Shop
Did you know we have a pre-loved Christian book shop/cafe space at our old charity shop site at 49 Church Street? We now have a weekly story time slot with our lovely volunteer Carol who has a heart for reading and activities with your little ones. Most of the time it's a place of peace and tranquility but on Thursday mornings bring along your children/grandchildren for a treat.
It’s been years since there has been a Christian bookshop in Maidstone but the old MADM charity shop (now moved to 28 High Street) has recently been converted to a space dedicated to pre-loved Christian books, jewellery, gifts and cards. The ream of volunteers who run the shop also offer hot and cold drinks and snacks - and its all for donations to our work in the town.
The Living Word is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10am-2pm and additionally on a Saturday in August.
Also taking place at Living Word:
The Crafty Cuppa - craft group every Wednesday 10am-12pm.
Owl's Story Time - toddler story time and craft activity every Thursday (term time) 10am-12pm.
The space is also used by other groups privately outside opening hours.
